Good evening,  Here are the picture which were taken by my nephew Brandon
during our Microwave freq. activity on 05 Dec. 2010 at Gozo island. village  name Nadur.
QSO with 9h1vw; 9h1gb; 9h1bw and others which were located at madliena and Zurrieq
both in Malta.  Weather: partly cloudy tempreture 19 deg cent  wind; mild wind force 3.
 
 
9h1es Fortunato      Equipment used for 24Ghz Qso.
Freq:   24.050,200 Ghz
Pwr:     360 microwatts
Antenna:   parabolic   34 cm with sub reflector and back feed.
transverter: Kuhne Electronic K-band MKU 24 GC
Oscillator unit:   Xtal / oven contol with mulitplier.
Distance:  18.5 Km
Signals:  5/9
Mode:  SSB and FM.
Stability:  fair good.
I.F;   FT-290 MK 11
Note: during our qso, while Joe 9h1vw was on air, I obtain only one reflection
which is calculated 160 deg from the main lobe while turning the parabolic at 360 deg.

Description of the equipment on the pictures
Street name,Madonna ta' fatima str. Nickname Bella vista.
Aluminum tripot ex-army.
Bottom  parabolic for 24ghz and at the back inside is the local oscillator,
the transverter and the transition feeding the back of the dish.
     The equiment which is between the two parabolic is the homemade 10ghz
transverter.  The unit is machined from solid aluminum block . All the units
are incorporated inside.  Two bends of WG-16 WAVEGUIDE  are feeding the
upper parabolic dish.
